Single people often feel like there are not enough resources for them in this world, and being single is hard — so hard, in fact, dating coach Jenna Birch gets a lot of questions about how to do it well. So it feels good and healthy, not disheartening and depressing. Birch, author of The Love Gap: A Radical Plan to Win in Life & Love, will host an interactive talk on How to Be Single in 2019. She will dive into how to build a full, complete life while you’re dating, how to make sure that romantic highs and lows remain in perspective, and what skillsets should be in your romantic toolbox. Other core topics will include ethical dating (dating multiple people at once, communication, breaking it off without ghosting), situationships, how to tell if it’s someone who is truly interested, doing a regular dating cleanse/detox, and the value of building friendships before relationships (or at least in equal measure).
